Who’s ready for the third day of my Florida vacation? Day three I started to go out and enjoy the Venice area!
By Venice, I don’t mean Italy (even though I wish I did) I talking Venice Florida! My house in Florida is in North Port which is only a short distance to Venice.
It looks far but it’s really only a 26 minute drive and is well worth it.
Florida Day 3
Before heading out for the day I put together a super quick breakfast. I sprinkled some granola over greek yogurt. Simple yet filling!
My first stop In Venice is what I call the “The Big Mall” because I don’t actually know the name of it. It probably isn’t even that big, it just is big in comparison to the dinky little ones we have at home. Plus it is big enough that after walking the first floor I felt the hunger rubbing in my stomach. The Cheesecake Factory is my lunch destination. Man oh man do they have good food! I go with the Skinnylicious Tuscan Chicken. Good choice by me.
Next I drive over to the Detwilers farmers market to browse there selection of fresh produce. They are the only place my grandfather can find his favorite pretzels. (which is actually the reason we go to Venice. Silly to drive 30 minutes just for pretzels? Hell no)
For dinner I had a mixture of my leftovers from lunch with Herbed Potato Salad from my dinner the night before. I never got a picture of it but I can tell you it was good.
I finished off my activity of the day with a smooth bike ride around the complex. Florida is so flat! I’m used to all the hills at home.
The last part of the evening was… you guessed it……….GARAGE LIFE!!! I relaxed for a while sitting in the garage again watching the world go by.
