My head hurts, my fever won’t break and everything aches. Nothing sounds good to eat and since my nose is stuffed I won’t taste it anyway. Eating with the flu is not easy.
I’m not hungry at all in the morning, not even for my usual cup (or 3) of coffee. A bowl of cereal is the only thing that sounds remotely tolerable.
Cereal is not something I have very often, its much to calorie dense for my liking. I could easy polish off 5 servings in one bowl and it would only leave me wanting more. For today, however, I don’t mind. I grabbed a random box of Aldi brand cereal to nibble on.
You know you are in bad shape when I fridge full of these don’t even look remotely appealing.
If the sight of my Red Wine Brownies along with some leftover Red Velvet Waffles I made over the weekend can’t induce an appetite, nothing will. I decide to just hydrate through lunch with lots of water and Gatorade.
It’s hard to tell if the feeling in my stomach is hunger or nausea from the fever but I knew I should eat something at this point. Not having the energy to get up and look around I grabbed the leftover Red Velvet Waffles and nibbled on them completely dry.
I also tried a rice cake (I have been obsessed with the buttered popcorn flavored ones, only 35 calories! Get them here) but it was a lost cause. Eating with the flu is challenging and annoying! I threw in the towel and went to bed.
